10 Years in the Making: Terminal V Finds a New Home

After nearly a decade of growth, Terminal V Festival is entering an exciting new era with the announcement of its move to a brand new home.

Over the past nine years, Terminal V has transformed from a 2,000 capacity, one-day event at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh into one of Scotland’s largest electronic music festivals. Evolving into a two day experience welcoming over 20,000 attendees per day across multiple stages, the festival has become a landmark event within the global electronic music scene.

Co-founder Simon McGrath commented:

“Terminal V has grown hugely over the past decade, with audiences now travelling from across the UK and internationally to be part of it.”

With an estimated 30% of attendees travelling from overseas and the festival contributing over £5 million to the local economy, Terminal V remains committed to supporting Scotland while opening the door to a new chapter in its journey.

As Terminal V approaches its 10th anniversary, the festival is preparing to take the next step in its evolution.

Co-founder Derek Martin reflected on the journey:

“Whatever we do with Terminal V, Scotland will always be our home. This may be the last Terminal V in Edinburgh, but it won’t be the last in Scotland.”

That new home has now been revealed, with Terminal V Festival officially set to move to Glasgow in 2027. The festival will take over a never before seen industrial location, delivering a fully immersive outdoor experience unlike anything the event has done before.

Excitement is already building, with Super Early Bird tickets selling out shortly after release. Further announcements are expected in the coming weeks and months, but one thing is certain, Terminal V will continue to deliver the world class production, immersive environments, and cutting edge festival experience that has defined it over the past nine years.

The next chapter will bring a globally recognised line-up featuring some of the biggest names in electronic music, representing a wide range of genres and sounds from across the world.

While the location may be changing, Terminal V’s identity remains the same, staying true to its roots, its community, and its mission to push the boundaries of electronic music experiences.

Terminal V’s next era begins in Glasgow.
