Introducing the brand new Terminal V Production Course

Introducing the brand new Terminal V Production Course

Learn from the artists who make the music.

12 weeks. 20 producers. One finished track.

We’re teaming up with XCESS to give 20 producers the opportunity to take their music further, learning directly from one of the scene’s most experienced artists, BK.

As we continue to grow Terminal V beyond the festival and into artist development with the launch of our new record label, supporting emerging talent is a big part of what comes next.

We want to help give the next wave of producers the tools, knowledge and confidence to take their sound to the next level. And who better to learn from than someone who’s spent decades in the studio shaping the sound of harder electronic music?

Over 12 weeks, BK will guide participants through the process of turning an idea into a finished track, covering everything from groove and sound design to arrangement, mixing, mastering and A&R. With practical tasks, live teaching and direct feedback on their own productions, the focus is on learning by doing, developing your sound and understanding what it really takes to finish a record.

This isn’t about watching tutorials and hoping for the best. It’s about getting into the details, asking questions, learning from someone who’s been there and putting that knowledge straight into your own music.

For us, it’s another way to connect the different sides of what we do, from the music we champion on the dancefloor to the artists creating what comes next.

Who Is BK?

With more than 30 years in the game, Ben Keen, aka BK, needs little introduction to fans of hard house and harder electronic music.

Responsible for iconic tracks including Revolution and Music Is Moving, BK has played a major role in shaping the sound of the scene, building a legacy that continues to influence producers today.

But his experience goes well beyond making records. Known for his technical approach, distinctive sound and understanding of what makes a track work on the dancefloor, he’s also spent around eight years teaching production, helping hundreds of aspiring artists develop their skills through platforms including Toolroom Academy and TidyPro.

Now, he’ll be bringing that experience directly to the 20 producers taking part in the programme.

Who Is the Course For?

The course is aimed at intermediate producers working across harder styles, including techno, hard techno, trance and hard dance, who use Logic Pro or Ableton and want to push their productions further.

Whether you’re looking to tighten up your workflow, get more confident with arrangement and mixing, or finally get those ideas out of your project folder and into a finished track, the programme is designed to help you get there.

With live teaching, practical assignments and direct feedback on your own music, you’ll get the chance to develop your skills with guidance from someone who understands both the creative and technical sides of making records.

The goal is simple: to help you make better music, find your sound and get your tracks closer to where you want them to be.
